Redline Capital Backs Innovium

Innovium has raised $38.3 million in Series C funding from new lead investor, Redline Capital, new strategic investors and existing investors Greylock Partners, Walden Riverwood Ventures, Capricorn Investment Group, Qualcomm Ventures and S-Cubed Capital. As part of Series C funding, Tatiana Evtushenkova, CEO/Managing Director of Redline Capital, joined Innovium’s board of directors. The new funding round brings Innovium’s total financing to $90 million and will be used to accelerate commercialization of world’s fastest TERALYNX 12.8Tbps switch silicon family and execute on a compelling roadmap. Innovium TERALYNX’s data center focused design along with patented innovations have enabled the company to leapfrog products in the market and position it as a leader in enabling autonomous & programmable large-scale data center networks.

Innovium also announced a board of advisors and investors consisting of networking industry luminaries to guide its strategy, technology and go-to-market initiatives. The members include Yuval Bachar, Principal Engineer for Global Infrastructure Architecture at LinkedIn; Sachin Katti, Professor of EE & CS at Stanford University; Martin Lund, CEO of Metaswitch; Rajeev Madhavan, serial entrepreneur and General Partner of Clear Ventures; Pradeep Sindhu, Founder and Vice Chairman of Juniper Networks; Krishna Yarlagadda, President of Imagination Technologies; and Raj Yavatkar, VMware Fellow.

Economics, agility, and flexibility are rapidly driving customers to move IT to the public and private cloud. Intel predicts that 70-80% of all systems will be deployed in “large scale data centers” by 2025. Modern, Standards-based Software

Innovium offers a comprehensive software solution which includes the TERALYNX Software Development Kit (SDK), example application code, standard APIs, network operating system (NOS) software and services for seamless, accelerated deployment. Ready for Today’s Networks as well as 50G PAM4 I/O Deployments

TERALYNX enables customers to deploy switches easily with today’s 10G or 25G NRZ infrastructure for 10/25/50/100G Ethernet connectivity with up to 128 ports of 100GbE Ethernet using a single chip. This leverages the widely available infrastructure of DAC/optical cables and SFP/QSFP-based optical modules. Additionally, 50G PAM4 I/O is being urgently demanded by major data center operators to scale performance and meaningfully reduce cost per bit. TERALYNX supports PAM4 I/O to enable seamless transition without forklift upgrades.
