US Surgeon General Regina Benjamin Speaks at The APMA National

APMA is pleased to announce that United States Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, MD, MBA, was guest of honor at American Podiatric Medical Association's Annual Scientific Meeting and 100th Anniversary.

She addressed three separate areas of health care including the importance of foot care in avoiding diabetes-related amputations, the national prevention strategy, and and the 2012 surgeon general's report on preventing tobacco use in young adults.

As Surgeon General, Dr. Benjamin provides the American public with the best information available on how to improve their health. She also oversees the operational command of 6,500 uniformed public health officers around the world. APMA is honored to have Dr. Benjamin with us during this exciting anniversary year.
