Panda Security Launches
Cloud Office Protection 6.0 Beta
December 26, 2011
Panda
Cloud Office Protection (PCOP) 6.0 is a cloud-based security service for
PCs, servers and corporate laptops managed remotely through a web-based
console. The beta software can be downloaded for free at
http://www.pandasecurity.com/promotions/betatest/pcop.
In conjunction with the beta release, Panda said that the first 200 new
customers who install the beta on at least two PCs will receive six
months of free service (up to 250 licenses). In addition, 10 testers
suggesting the most helpful improvements will be rewarded with $200
Amazon.com gift certificates.
The new release of Panda Cloud Office Protection 6.0 includes device
control technologies that prevent the spread of malware through the
improper use of external devices such as USB flash drives, digital
cameras, DVDs and more. These controls will allow organizations to
improve productivity by enforcing policies to deny access, force
read-only access, or grant total access on multiple device types through
the PCOP web-based console.
The
new version is also hosted in Windows Azure, a cloud services platform
hosted in Microsoft data centers and designed to support highly
available, scalable and reliable applications. Windows Azure uses a set
of privacy and security controls that ensure maximum protection of its
hosted data and applications, ensuring maximum security for PCOP users.
Panda Cloud Office Protection protects all endpoint devices, whether or
not they’re connected to the corporate network, against known and
unknown viruses, spyware, botnets, phishing attacks, cross-site
scripting, exploits, zero-day threats, and other malware in real time.
Panda’s unique cloud-based Collective Intelligence technology identifies
and isolates malware before it reaches the network, delivering
real-world, real-time protection around the clock. |
