Fujitsu Wins $40M
Alliance Data Outsourcing Deal

Fujitsu
has entered into a long-term outsourcing agreement with Alliance Data.
Under terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will assume the Alliance Data
Information Technology Services (ITS) function, which services Alliance
Data business units, as well as five other existing clients. In
addition, Fujitsu will manage the existing Tier 3 data center, assets
and personnel, and estimates the combined initial annual value to
Fujitsu to be greater than $40 million, which immediately and
significantly expands the infrastructure services capabilities of
Fujitsu.

Fujitsu
America marks a major milestone toward its stated goal of building its
outsourcing and managed services offerings. The contract supports the
Fujitsu global business strategy of developing its IT services business
to meet the increasing market demand for these services.
- The 10-year contract, with services commencing
July 1, 2009, gives Alliance Data the flexibility to scale IT operations
as needs dictate. As part of the agreement, Fujitsu will assume
responsibility for certain resources, assets, and facilities associated
with the provision of services to Alliance Data and other clients. More
than 180 information technology professionals will join the Fujitsu team
and provide Fujitsu clients additional senior-level experience in
mainframe, mid-range, server, networking and service desk operations
