Webroot: Ramon Peypoch
is VP Corporate Development

Webroot
has appointed Ramon Peypoch to the newly created position of vice
president of Corporate Development. A former driver of strategic
alliances for Symantec, Websense and other global technology leaders,
Peypoch will accelerate Webroot’s growth through new technology
partnerships and acquisitions.
“Ramon brings to Webroot rich experience making bold and decisive moves
to grow market share for global technology leaders,” said Dick Williams,
chief executive officer, Webroot. “Peypoch has a proven track record for
identifying and executing on game-changing opportunities, which will be
an asset to Webroot as we establish ourselves as the best company in the
world at delivering security as a service.”
Peypoch
joined the company from Proofpoint, where he was executive vice
president of Business Development and responsible for OEM and strategic
alliances with global technology leaders including Blue Coat Systems and
MessageLabs. Prior to Proofpoint, Peypoch was vice president of Business
Development at Websense where he was responsible for the strategy that
expanded Websense’s product line and geographic footprint through the
acquisitions of Surfcontrol and Port Authority Technologies. He also
oversaw the divestiture process for Websense to create CyberPatrol, an
independent consumer software solutions company.
Peypoch was also previously general manager at Inktomi (now Yahoo!), led
business development at Symantec and Sygate Technologies, and held
senior management positions at AT&T Solutions and GE Capital. Peypoch
began his career in business development as a senior consultant at
Accenture.
Peypoch received a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College and a Master
of Business Administration, Finance & Entrepreneurial Management from
the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. |
