EMC Launches Microsoft SharePoint 2010
Consulting Services
June 14, 2010
The new services help
customers improve business intelligence and increase the value of their
EMC information infrastructure within Microsoft SharePoint 2010,
Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and Microsoft Windows 7 environments.
Organizations benefit from these services through improved business
communication and insight, effective governance models and an optimized
information infrastructure that both helps customers reduce operational
costs and derive unprecedented value from information assets.
A new portfolio of EMC Consulting services designed for Microsoft
SharePoint 2010 helps business and IT stakeholders build new
architectures, assess business impact and create an effective governance
model for migration. These five new services offerings enable
enterprises to:
- Assess and plan for Business
Impact through defined goals and objectives in order to
reach consensus among stakeholders, validate solution viability
and facilitate successful adoption
- Create and leverage an effective
Governance Service model that incorporates
industry best practices and standards for information
architecture, user experience, communication, and training
- Deploy cutting-edge Social
Networking Services based upon defined goals and
objectives, business impact and governance, architecture design,
pilot programs and adoption roadmaps
- Migration Planning
for legacy applications such as IBM Lotus Notes through business
impact assessment, planning, and architectural design
- Deploy an Enterprise Search
Application Architecture based upon business
requirements, build a prototype for a pilot or real-world
implementation, and leverage best practices for deploying
Microsoft search technologies
The recently
announced EMC SourceOne for Microsoft SharePoint solution further
enables organizations to adopt a proactive information governance
strategy by focusing on content spread across multiple SharePoint sites
and farms. EMC SourceOne for Microsoft SharePoint solution delivers
operational control, compliance and e-discovery capabilities without
impacting SharePoint end-users.
EMC Consulting now offers a new service that helps customers within
financial services, telecommunications and other customer-centric
industries leverage the value of Microsoft Business Intelligence
technologies by optimizing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 environments. This
service provides customers with real-time insight into storage,
database, and operating system environments within the information
infrastructure through new processes for reporting, analysis and alerts
on enterprise data. Customers benefit from the ability to determine when
to migrate, consolidate or virtualize their technology deployments to
increase efficiencies of scale.
Finally, organizations can reduce operational costs of an
enterprise-wide rollout of the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system
through a new Desktop Deployment service that creates an automated and
centrally management desktop environment.
