MySpace:  Mark Rosenbaum is CFO

Rosenbaum will be based at company headquarters and report to MySpace CEO Owen Van Natta. In this newly created role, Rosenbaum will oversee all finance and accounting operations.

A highly regarded financial and business executive, Rosenbaum brings over twenty-two years of business and corporate finance experience to MySpace, and possesses expertise in all phases of company development, including start-up, fast growth, mature operations, acquisitions, and sale.

“Having led companies at every stage of their development, Mark understands both startup culture and mature businesses, and is well suited to guide MySpace’s financial organization through its next phase of growth,” remarked MySpace CEO Owen Van Natta. “We’re thrilled to add someone with his pedigree and experience to the team.

Prior to joining MySpace, Rosenbaum served as a consultant to MGM, advising on business intelligence and financial management system implementation. Prior to MGM, Rosenbaum held the Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance position at Gemstar-TV Guide (formerly a News Corporation Company), and served as CFO of the and TV Guide Mobile units. Previously, Rosenbaum had served as Chief Executive Officer at SmartJog S.A., a VC-backed French startup specializing in worldwide digital asset delivery. Prior to that, Rosenbaum served as Senior Vice President of International Free/Basic TV Distribution and U.S. Networks for Twentieth Century Fox, and has also held senior management and finance positions at the Walt Disney Company.

Rosenbaum earned his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UC San Diego.
